Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
By using Cnota (cohesnotes.com and the Cnota Android app) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What Cnota provides
Cnota gives students access to a library of study notes. Some notes are free to preview or read, and some need a paid subscription for the semester. We may add, change or remove notes and features at any time.
Availability
Cnota is made for students in Uganda and only works on connections inside Uganda. We do not promise that the service will always be available or free of errors.
Payments
- Payments are made with MTN or Airtel Mobile Money. The price is shown before you confirm, and you approve every payment on your own phone.
- Your mobile network adds its own charges and taxes. Keep a little more than the price in your account (the app suggests 300 UGX more) so the payment does not fail.
- A semester subscription gives access to the notes of that semester on up to two of your devices. Extra downloads, where offered, are sold as separate packs.
- If money was taken but your access did not start, email us and we will fix it or put it right. Please do not pay again while we check.
Using Cnota fairly
- Use Cnota for your own study. Do not share your subscription, or sell or republish the notes.
- Do not try to get around the free-note limits, the device limits or the Uganda-only restriction, or to copy the library with automated tools.
- Do not interfere with the service or attempt to access anything you are not allowed to.
- We may block a device or number that breaks these rules.
Content
The notes are study aids. Their authors keep their rights. If you are a rights holder and believe something on Cnota should not be there, email us with the details and we will look at it promptly.
Our responsibility
Cnota is provided as it is. We take care to keep the notes accurate, but we cannot promise they are error-free or suited to every course, so check important facts against your lecturers and textbooks. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using, or being unable to use, Cnota.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.
